Lobster Cookies!

Today I finished an order for a wedding rehearsal dinner.

The bride & groom are hosting a lobster bake for all their guests

and ordered a big batch of sugar cookies as souvenirs!

The cookies are simple, sugar & butter recipe biscuits

with royal icing and candy embellishments.

They have chocolate chip eyes, red sugar scales, red-hot tail

fins and gummy worms and fish as their suppers.

Summer Bakes-- Fresh Fruit!

Today I went to visit a local farm stand in a neighboring town called Gator Creek Farms. I found some lovely peaches there and just had to buy them! They were so pretty and bright :) These juicy jems soon found their way into a mixture of oats, brown sugar and cinnamon crumbs, creating a wonderful summer peach crisp!

A Lovely Cake For A Lovely Boy!

So it is officially my wonderful boyfriend's 23rd birthday!

His name is Tanner & he's just the tops :)

We're in Cape Cod celebrating as we speak, but before leaving home

a surprise party was had with friends & this yummy cake!

Simple butter cake layered with fresh strawberries

& topped off with whipped chocolate frosting!

Pool Party Oreo Cupcakes

This isn't a super big post, but here's a snapshot of what I made yesterday

afternoon. They were some mighty delicious cupcakes that came into

attendance at a pool party in the evening.

Ali's Flowery Birthday Cake

A wonderful girl I know just turned another year older. In celebration of this big day and her sunshiney personality, I created a cake covered in colorful flowers! The inside is white cake layered & injected with raspberry preserves and the outside is a substantial coating of semi-sweet chocolate whipped ganache frosting. I'm sure she's going to love it!
